Struggling Nantes with another difficult game

Despite recently ending their 21 year wait for a trophy, the hosts now find themselves languishing in the bottom six of the Ligue 1 table. Finishing eighteenth in the league now means relegation due to the restructure and it means that unless they start winning matches, the pressure will continue to mount on both the team and manager Antoine Kombouaré. The boss spoke about this upcoming match and said that it is a “must win at all costs” kind of game.

However, Lens have become an exceptionally strong side and are yet to be defeated after seven match days in the league. There is a feel-good factor around the club and that was echoed by manager Franck Haise who stated that this Lens side was “capable of great things”. They have lost just one of their last 10 road games and will feel confident of a victory here.

Goals at both ends likely

Nantes have to get a win here, even at this early stage of the campaign, but they will struggle to get the better of Lens. We believe there will be goals here and for both sides as well. As such, we will lean towards over 2.5 goals and both teams to score.
