Stalemate on the cards in Naples

After racking up big Champions League wins in midweek, Napoli and Roma face off in Serie A with the hosts looking to find some consistency domestically.

The Partenopei have lost three of their seven league games after their 1-0 defeat to Venezia last weekend and will be aiming to improve against an unbeaten Roma side.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are two points off league leaders Inter after an impressive start to the season in which they have conceded just three times in seven games.

The Wolves have accumulated 17 points, their best tally at this point since the 2014-15 campaign, and will welcome key man Donyell Malen back from suspension for this clash.

Games between these two in recent years have been competitive and this should be no different. Napoli are hard to trust at present but the return of Scott McTominay has been a big boost. 

Four of the last eight meetings between these two in Naples have finished all square and a repeat of that looks a big runner in this clash.

Massimiliano Allegri will be happy to steady the ship against in-form opponents while the visitors are likely to be happy to extend their unbeaten run.
