Interesting clash in Naples

The pick of Sunday’s Serie A action is an interesting encounter between the recently dethroned champions and one of the league’s form sides. Napoli’s midseason burst has cooled, leaving them in a race just to make Europe next term. Meanwhile, Roma have won four of their last five to sit fifth, but they have the welcome distraction of a Europa League semi-final to come.

Napoli have won once across their last seven and they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet across their last 14 matches. The Partenopei have seen both teams score in six of their last seven at home and in Victor Osimhen they have a brilliant finisher who can cause any side problems.

Osimhen scored home and away to Roma last term and the forward has scored in two of his last three league games. He’s taken his tally to 13 strikes in 21 games in a tough season for the club and he has to be feared by Roma once again.

The visitors may be in form but boss Danielle Di Rossi has to balance their Champions League push with the chance of a return to the Europa League final.
