      Draw

      Reason for tip

Neither of these sides have been winning regularly of late, but the Red Bulls are unbeaten in five at home and New England have lost just one in nine on the road – two decent records that could be extended with a draw on Thursday.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Clean-sheets have been hard to come by for both these teams, as the Red Bulls are without a shut out in five, while New England have just one to their name across their last six matches. With that in mind and these two sides expected to draw, a 1-1 share cannot be ruled out.

New York Red Bulls vs New England Revolution Predictions

      • New York Red Bulls have drawn three of their last four matches.
      • The Red Bulls are unbeaten in their last five home fixtures in MLS.
      • New England Revolution have lost just one of their last nine MLS games on the road.

      Two teams struggling for wins

New York Red Bulls and New England Revolution have both been struggling for wins of late, which makes separating the pair when they meet at the Sports Illustrated Stadium during the early hours of Thursday morning difficult.

The Red Bulls are without a win in five, drawing three of those games, including a 2-2 share with high-flying Minnesota United in their last home fixture, although they relied on a late Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting goal to salvage a point from that fixture.

The Revs are winless in six, while their only victory in their last 11 league games came on the road at a CF Montreal side that currently hold the worst record in this season’s MLS.

Home solidity faces off against decent road form

While wins have been hard to come by for these two teams of late, they have also proved tough to beat, with the Red Bulls unbeaten in five on home soil in MLS, a sequence that includes a 7-0 demolition of struggling Los Angles Galaxy.

That record should give Sandro Schwarz’ side plenty of confidence, but New England have been solid themselves on their travels, losing just one of their last nine road fixtures in MLS.

With that in mind, this game could well end all-square, but with both sides struggling for clean-sheets – the Red Bulls are without a shut out in five and it’s just one in six for New England – a 1-1 score draw stands out.
