New York Red Bulls have won their last four home matches but that run could come to an end in the early hours of Friday morning against a Philadelphia side that have lost just one of their last nine outings.

That defeat for Union was suffered earlier this week as they were edged out 1-0 at Nashville, though we’re expecting a positive response from Jim Curtin’s men who have been extremely consistent throughout the last couple of months.

Prior to the loss in Tennessee, which was their first on the road this season (W2, D3), Union bagged five wins and three draws from eight games. They’ll be buoyed here by the 1-0 success which they secured over Red Bulls in May’s reverse fixture, and we think they can take something from this Friday’s clash.

This should be a really good contest based on how well these sides have been performing and it’s difficult to give one preference over the other. A draw is our recommendation for small stakes and we’re also forecasting a 1-1 score-line.
