Buoyant Newcastle entertain Burnley

Newcastle are flying right now after crushing Sheffield United 8-0 and ending Manchester City’s unbeaten record, and they should have far too much for visitors Burnley on Saturday.

The Clarets have competed well in most of their games but have just one point on the board after five games and their winless start is likely to extend beyond this weekend.

Magpies can win with room to spare

Newcastle are a short price to simply win so backing the hosts to cover a -1 handicap looks a good option here.

Eddie Howe’s side dismantled Sheffield United 8-0 in South Yorkshire last weekend and then claimed an impressive 1-0 win over Manchester City in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Gordon a goal contender

Howe has tended to rotate strikers Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak, with the latter playing in the bigger games, so as a bit of an outside candidate Anthony Gordon appeals for a possible scorer.

Gordon produced an excellent display against the Blades, registering a goal and an assist, and has two goals so far after six Premier League games.

A 3-0 win for Newcastle is the correct score prediction as they have kept clean sheets in each of their last four games, while Burnley conceded three goals against City and Aston Villa and lost by a three-goal margin against Tottenham.
