Norwich vs Aston Villa Betting Tips

Norwich’s 3-0 defeat to Spurs on Boxing Day brought them crashing back down to earth after they managed to beat Manchester United 2-1 the weekend before.

They have showed exactly why they are relegation candidates over the past couple of months, and their recent record stands at one win, three defeats, and two draws from their last six Premier League games.

This leaves Norwich sitting just above the relegation zone, level on points with 18^th placed Newcastle but ahead on goal difference.

Aston Villa sit rock bottom of the table with just eight points from their opening 18 Premier League matches, and they are already nine points from safety.

However, there have been signs of improvement recently. Their 1-1 draw with West Ham on Boxing Day gave them a well deserved points, and not many could have argued if they had won that game.

This was the 3^rd time in their last four games that they have avoided defeat, with three draws against Southampton, Newcastle, and West Ham surrounding a 2-0 loss to Arsenal.

They still haven’t won since the opening day of the season, but it’s obvious that they are getting back on track after their shocking spell. It’s just a question of whether they are too late or not in my opinion.

Aston Villa have history on their side as well. They have won all of the last four matches they have played against Norwich and haven’t lost in five meetings.

Norwich have only won one of their last five home matches as well, whilst Aston Villa have drawn their last two games on the road.

This is one of the best opportunities Aston Villa will get to boost their confidence and fire them into a spell of good form, and I think they will be doing everything they can to grab that opportunity. Odds of 4/5 for an Aston Villa Win or Draw Double Chance look really good value to me as well, so I’m putting my money on that. I’m also liking the look of a 1-1 correct score prediction at 6/1.
