Norwich vs Burton Albion Predictions & Betting Tips, Match Previews

Norwich know better than most what it takes to win promotion from the Championship and right now they look a good bet to achieve that again. Responding to setbacks is key in a long 46 game season as one bad day rarely derails a promotion push but a sequence of bad results can. That is why it was important they responded to their shock 3-0 defeat at Birmingham last month with some good performances and they’ve done just that, by rattling off 4 straight wins including a surprise 2-0 win at Everton in the League Cup on Tuesday night.

Having won on Merseyside they’ll head into this full of confidence but will know that Burton Albion shouldn’t be taken lightly. The Brewers have been very competitive so far at this level but have just slipped down the table a little after a late 1-0 home defeat against Brighton last weekend. They were missing several players there so would have settled for a point and they very nearly got it. They’ve done pretty well on the road so far, responding to their 4-3 opening day loss at Nottingham Forest with 3 successive away draws at Blackburn, Wolves and Fulham.

However, a trip to Carrow Road is likely to present them with much more to think about. Norwich have won their last 4 home games and still possess many players who are probably capable of cutting it, at least in the bottom half of the Premier League and their win at Everton was testament to that. Burton have done well so far but may struggle to maintain this intensity for the duration of the season and this is one of those games where the gulf in class which exists between the two side may just prove too much.

It’s hard to see the Canaries failing to win this and backing Norwich -1.0 Asian Handicap at 1.900 looks to offer value.
