Nottingham Forest vs MK Dons Predictions
The visitors are out of the relegation zone after an important win in midweek. Goals from Carl Baker and Nicky Maynard saw them to a 2-1 victory against Sheffield Wednesday and ended a winless run of 5 games. They’ve found the adjustment to Championship football tough but are picking up just enough wins to keep their heads above water.
Away from home though they have really struggled and the Dons have picked up just 3 points on the road and scored only 3 goals in 9 away trips since the opening day.
This isn’t a good time to go to the City Ground so it’s hard to see them improving on that record here. Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in 4 matches and have won their last 3 home games with Derby, Reading and Fulham all coming to Nottingham and leaving empty-handed in recent weeks.
Forest picked up two hard-fought points on the road this week by drawing at Wolves and Blackburn but will be really targeting 3 points here, which could fire them into the top half. They are good value to get them too at 5/6 given the sort of results they have been getting of late coupled with the problems Milton Keynes are having away from Stadium MK.
The Dons will take some heart from their last few games though, particularly their win over Sheffield Wednesday and they seem to have improved defensively after a really difficult Autumn where they were leaking goals all over the place.
Therefore it could be close and a 2-1 home win might be worth backing in the ‘correct scoreline’ market at 15/2.
