      Nottingham Forest vs QPR Predictions

Forest are flying at the moment and are unbeaten in 12 matches and over 2 months of football. Their win at league leaders Middlesbrough on Saturday was the highlight of that period and an outstanding result given how strong Boro are at the Riverside.

Jamie Ward’s goal settled the game and gave Forest a 2nd successive win after their 3-0 home win against the league’s bottom club Bolton the previous weekend. The only surprise given their long unbeaten run is that they are still 8 points off the play-off places. Prior to those last 2 results, there had been a few too many draws but with only one other match taking place on Tuesday, this is a good chance for Forest to close the gap on the top six.

QPR finally won under new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink when they won 3-0 at Rotherham the weekend before last. However they could only back that up with a point at home to Wolves on Saturday and given they were ahead through Sebastian Polter in only the 2nd minute, a 1-1 draw will have been somewhat disappointing.

It is 1 just 1 win in 10 for the Londoners under Hasselbaink and they also had to contend with the departure of top scorer Charlie Austin last week. Nottingham Forest have won 6 of their last 9 at home and are unbeaten in 10 matches at the CIty Ground. That run included a victory over QPR in the FA Cup 3rd Round and at 11/10 they look good value to repeat that here.

Despite their long unbeaten run, Forest haven’t been scoring a huge amount of goals. They’ve scored more than once in only 2 of their last 10 matches so this could also end up in a 1-0 home win as it did when they met in the Cup and that can be backed at 11/2.
