Notts County and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Notts County have won all five of their League Two home matches this season, but they have conceded on each occasion, so with Mansfield likely to be positive in this local clash, take the Magpies to win and both teams to score

Notts County 3-1

Reason for tip

The Magpies have scored at least three times in four of their five home games this term while Mansfield have netted in all but one of their last 18 League Two away matches, so a 3-1 home win appeals in the correct-score market

Notts County vs Mansfield Town Predictions

  • Notts County have won all their home league matches this season
  • Eight of Mansfield’s 12 league games this season have been draws
  • Four of Notts County’s five League Two home games have gone over 3.5 goals

Notts are off to a great start

While Wrexham grabbed all the headlines in last season’s National League, Notts County pushed them all the way and the Magpies faithful will be delighted with the start they have made to the season.

The Meadow Lane outfit sit at the top of the table having lost just one match so far – an epic 5-4 defeat at Colchester – which sets up a potentially cracking all-Nottinghamshire clash with Mansfield on Saturday.

The Stags have been going well themselves and are the only unbeaten team in the division, but Nigel Clough’s side have drawn eight of their 12 league games so are only fifth.

County have won all five of their games on the banks of the Trent, but have conceded in each match so backing a home win and both teams to score looks the way to go.

Stags capable of making their mark

Eight of Notts County’s 12 league matches have featured at least three goals and they have scored at least three times in four of their five home games.

However, their defence has been breached on each occasion and there is a decent chance that can happen again against the Stags.

Mansfield have scored in all but one of their last 18 league away games and with plenty of local pride at stake, it seems likely that the visitors will be positive, so take them to contribute but fall to a 3-1 defeat.
