Oldham vs Bradford Predictions

  • Oldham are unbeaten in John Sheridan’s four games in charge
  • Bradford have only won five of their 16 away matches
  • The Bantams have not won in their last three trips to Boundary Park

Oldham fighting for survival

John Sheridan has had a remarkable impact since returning to Boundary Park for yet another stint as manager, picking up two wins and a couple of draws from his four games in charge.

That run of form leaves the Latics just two points from safety, an incredible position given they looked down and out of it a few weeks ago, helped by winning their last home match 2-1 against Bristol Rovers.

They have still only picked up 12 of an available 42 points on home soil, but it feels like the tide has turned of late, with January additions such as Mike Fondop-Talom and Alex Hunt having quite the impact.

Which Bradford will turn up?

A 1-0 defeat to Exeter last time out spelt the end for Derek Adams’ ill-fated reign at Valley Parade, less than a year after he moved to Yorkshire from Morecambe, who he guided to promotion from League Two.

Bradford head into this game having won just one of their last five, a run of form that also includes a defeat to Harrogate on the road and a 2-1 reverse at home to Crawley.

They narrowly beat Oldham by the same scoreline when the two sides met in August, but the Bantams have been stumbling along since then, drawing a staggering 13 times in 31 games.

I think the Latics could come out on top in this one, but take the insurance of Oldham draw no bet, selecting 2-1 to the hosts as a correct score prediction.
