Oman, so close yet so so far

Oman unsurprisingly failed to qualify for the finals of the 2022 World Cup after finishing fourth in their qualifying group. On a positive note for them, they only finished a point behind Australia and will relish the chance to take on European powerhouses Germany before their World Cup campaign gets underway.

Hansi Flick’s side get their final preparations underway before kicking off the world’s most famous competition. Their last outing produced an exciting 3-3 draw with England but finding the right balance within the team will be high on Flick’s to do list. They possess an abundance of attacking talent and getting a win under their belts here would give them some confidence.
