      Orebro SK vs Helsingborg Predictions

It’s not exactly been a great start to the season for Orebro, who currently sit in 9th position. They are four points above the drop-zone, though manager Axel Kjäll will be concerned that his side are struggling to build momentum. The boss will also be displeased with the fact that Friday’s hosts have lost each of their last three at home.

Unlike most teams, Orebro’s problem this season stems from playing at home. On the road, Friday’s hosts have done well, as they currently boast the fourth-best travelling record in the division, though they’ve struggled massively on their own patch.

As things stand, Orebro, who’ve won just one of their six home matches this season, have the worst home record in the Swedish top-flight, which isn’t exactly surprising since they’ve accumulated just four points. Going forward, they’ve not scored enough, scoring six, which is the second-lowest total in the league, while they’ve been far too generous at the back, conceding 12 goals. Only one team in the division has conceded more home goals than Orebro.

Fortunately for the hosts, they’re up against a Helsingborgs side that has struggled big time on the road. Friday’s visitors come into this match having failed to win any of their five away games. They’ve scored just three goals during that time and have surrendered ten. They do at least go to Behrn Arena having avoided defeat last time out on the road, though they didn’t exactly create the most positive impression, as they posted only 0.68 expected goals for against the side that is currently bottom of the league.

From a betting point of view, this is anything but a game to get seriously involved in, though given that the visitors have been very, very poor going forward away from home, the hosts do look slightly overpriced.

For all they’ve struggled to get results at home during the early parts of the campaign, Orebro have scored more at home than Helsingborgs have on the road, while they also average more expected goals for. The hosts have scored four in their last four at home and have averaged a quite pleasing 1.65 expected goals for during that time. In contrast, the visitors have scored just two in their last four on the road, averaging only 0.99 expected goals for. On this basis, at the current prices, the hosts stand out as a viable bet.
