Real Madrid and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in six of Real Madrid’s last nine away league games while they have not scored more than two goals in 10 of their last 12 on the road. Osasuna have not conceded more than two goals in 12 of 14 home league games this season. Also, Real Madrid top scorer Jude Bellingham is missing through suspension.

Real Madrid 2-1

Reason for tip

Osasuna rarely concede more than two goals at home, but Real have scored exactly two in three of their last four road games in La Liga. The men from Madrid have kept only three away clean sheets in their last nine and could concede once against an Osasuna side that scored in home defeats to Girona and Barcelona earlier this season.

Osasuna vs Real Madrid Predictions

  • Real Madrid are unbeaten in their last 10 away league games, winning six.
  • Real have not scored more than two goals in 10 of their last 12 La Liga away games
  • Osasuna have not conceded more than two goals in 12 of 14 home league games this season
  • Real Madrid top scorer Jude Bellingham is missing through suspension

Osasuna can be obstinate

Real Madrid will attempt to extend their 10-game unbeaten La Liga road sequence when they travel to Pamplona to face a resurgent Osasuna side on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side hammered the final nail into Rafael Benitez’s coffin — metaphorically speaking — when they thrashed his Celta Vigo side 4-0 at the Bernabeu last weekend. The ex-Real boss was duly sacked in the wake of the defeat that left Celta just two points outside the relegation zone.

Osasuna are in no such trouble, however, and can go into this game feeling that some kind of positive result is possible. Jagoba Arrasate’s side have won three of their last five La Liga matches, including a 1-0 win at sixth-placed Real Sociedad.

Ancelotti will settle for any win

But Ancelotti’s side are looking a bit like a machine again now and even without the suspended Jude Bellingham, should have far too many attacking weapons for Osasuna to handle.

Bellingham’s absence raises the prospect of this being another workmanlike scoreline for Real, who have not scored more than two goals in eight of their last 10 road trips. Ancelotti prioritises control over cutting edge in these contests, but Osasuna are regular scorers at home and breached both Barcelona and Girona’s defences at El Sadar earlier this season.

Osasuna have shown enough defensive fortitude not to go under like Celta did when conceding two late goals last week. Arrasate’s side have not conceded more than two goals in 12 of 14 home league games this season.
