Tip Reasoning

  • Four of Osasuna’s last eight home league games have ended goalless, including both of their starts at El Sadar this term.
  • Valencia are without a win in their last 11 away La Liga trips (D4, L7), but have drawn three of their last five.
  • Both sides are looking to maintain unbeaten starts to the campaign in Pamplona this Sunday.

Sides to keep unbeaten starts intact at El Sadar

Both Osasuna and Valencia return from the international break hoping to maintain their unbeaten starts to the season, and they may well do so with a share of the points anticipated at El Sadar on Matchday 4.

Valencia find themselves in a six way share of the lead at the top of La Liga after amassing seven points from their opening three matches, and Los Che signed off for the international break with a confident 3-0 beating of Alaves at Mestalla.

New boss Pepe Bordalas has clearly made an immediate impact on Valencia’s squad which endured a pretty torrid 2020/21, though there are still question marks around their ability to perform on the road. Los Che battled to a 1-1 draw at Granada on Matchday 2, but the club are now without a victory in 11 on their travels.

Three of their last five away trips have been drawn though, and that’s potentially the most likely result in Pamplona this weekend, where four of Osasuna’s last eight outings have finished goalless including both of their games at El Sadar this term.

A 2-3 victory at Cadiz last time out in addition to those stalemates means Sunday’s hosts have also enjoyed an extremely solid start to the campaign, and they’ll be disappointed should they fall to a first defeat of the season here having won last term’s corresponding fixture 3-1.

We’re opting for a draw in Pamplona this time around though which will probably please both managers, and a 0-0 score-line appeals as both sides seek to keep their unbeaten records intact.
