PAOK vs Panathinaikos Betting Tips & Predictions

PAOK have done excellently so far in this European Qualification playoff campaign, and they come into the final round of it know that a draw should be enough for them to secure the top spot.

This would see them qualify for the Champions League, and as long as AEK Athens don’t win at Panionios by six goals or more then a draw would be enough for them. Panathinaikos need a result as well though, because if they lose or draw and AEK Athens win they would be sent down to 3rd and miss out on both the Champions League and the Europa League.

A win at PAOK won’t be easy though. The hosts are unbeaten in this playoff round of the Super League and have won six, drawn three, and lost one of their last ten Greek Super League matches.

Panathinaikos have only lost two of their last ten Super League matches as well to be fair, but one of those came in their last away match when they visited AEK Athens. This puts them in 2nd position in the Super League playoffs, a point behind PAOK and a point in front of AEK Athens.

PAOK are a formidable side on home turf as well, having won their last five on the bounce and with nine wins from their last 11 outings in the Super League. On the other side of things, Panathinaikos haven’t won on the road in any of their last five trips away, including two defeats to AEK, a loss to Olympiakos, and draws against Asteras Tripolis and Panionios.

The hosts and leaders won’t want to leave anything to chance on Tuesday and will want to end the season with a win to ensure Champions League qualification. This, when combined with their excellent home form and Panathinaikos’ troubles on the road, makes odds of 5/4 for a PAOK Win look very attractive. I’m backing a 2-0 correct score prediction at 17/2 as well.
