Parma to Win

Reason for tip

Parma’s only win this season has come on home soil, against AC Milan, while they have lost just three of their last 29 outings at Stadio Ennio Tardini. They take on an Cagliari side who are bottom of the league and lost their only other away game to Lecce.

Parma 2-0

Reason for tip

Parma have scored exactly twice in three of their last four outings, including a 2-1 win over AC Milan. Cagliari, the lowest scorers in Serie A, have failed to net in four of their five games, while losing 2-0 to Empoli last time out.

Parma vs Cagliari Predictions

  • Parma’s previous win this season came on home soil
  • Cagliari are bottom of Serie A after losing three of their five outings
  • Parma have lost just one of the last ten head-to-heads at Stadio Ennio Tardini

Parma looking to continue steady start

It has been a fairly decent return to Serie A for Parma, who have picked up five points from their five matches so far, with their sole victory coming on home soil.

That was a shock 2-1 success against AC Milan, when the Crusaders ended a near three-year wait for a win in the Italian top flight.

Among their other four games this campaign, two have ended all square, including a 1-1 stalemate against Fiorentina at Stadio Ennio Tardini, where they have lost just three times since February 2023!

Cagliari desperate for points

That does not bode well for visitors Cagliari, who have only won one of the last ten away head-to-heads, losing on five occasions.

They also make the long flight to North Italy sitting bottom of the Serie A table after five rounds, picking up just two points so far, both of which have been picked up on home soil.

On the road, Davide Nicola’s side have played just once, but that was a 1-0 defeat to Lecce in August, while they have managed only two victories in their last 25 away outings in the top flight.

I predict that Parma will win this game, with 2-0 my correct score prediction.
