Peterborough vs Birmingham Predictions

• Both teams have scored in four of Peterborough’s last six games.
• Peterborough have scored four goals in total in three Championship home games.
• Birmingham are unbeaten away from home with seven points from a possible nine.

Posh bid to halt losing streak

Peterborough entertain Birmingham on Saturday looking to end an alarming dip in form after four defeats in a row.

The Posh’s losing run started with a pair of 1-0 defeats to Preston (a) and West Brom (h), while there is no disgrace in either of those losses – their last two results have been more concerning.

Peterborough went down 6-2 at struggling Sheffield United last weekend and were then well beaten in a 3-1 loss at Reading in midweek.  Given their current form, a win for Birmingham has some appeal but Darren Ferguson’s men will be delighted to be back in Cambridgeshire as at home they have remained fairly strong.

Only West Brom have managed to beat Peterborough at London Road so far this season in the Championship, and the Baggies are also the only side to deny the Posh a goal at home as well.  Birmingham have scored in all three of their away matches so far and as such both teams to score stands out as a solid option here and is my main bet for this match-up.

The Blues were beaten 4-1 at home by Fulham on Wednesday but they have seven points from three games on their travels and they can keep that unbeaten away record intact at Peterborough and a 3-1 victory for the away side is my correct score prediction.
