Peterborough vs Millwall Predictions

• Fewer than three goals have been scored in seven of ten Millwall away Championship games this season.
• Fewer than three goals have been scored in five of Peterborough’s last six league games.
• Fewer than three goals have been scored in four of the last six Posh home games.

Dark clouds unlikely to clear as Millwall visit Posh 

Peterborough owner Darragh McAnthony admits dark clouds have been gathering around the Weston Homes Stadium and Posh’s winless run could continue at home to Millwall on Saturday.

Five games without scoring and one goal in seven matches is totally out of character for a team that have been prolific in recent seasons, but they may be able to get a point from the division’s draw specialists.

Millwall have scored in 80% of their Championship road trips, but have only once hit the back more than once in any of those games.  Gary Rowett celebrated his 100th game in charge of the Lions with a 3-1 home win over Birmingham City on Saturday, but they have taken three points just twice when away from The Den.

Another 1-1 draw could be on the cards

Half of their away games have ended in stalemates with four out of the ten finishing 1-1 and that looks a decent prospect for this game too given bottom-of-the-table Posh are averaging 1.2 goals per game at home this season.

Backing the draw is certainly tempting, but it looks safer to take an under 2.5 goals bet here. Fewer than three goals have been scored in seven of ten Millwall away Championship games this season and the same can be said of five of Peterborough’s last six league games.

Posh prevented free-scoring Fulham from scoring more than once when they hosted the leaders recently and also kept a rare clean sheet against Barnsley last time out, so some improvements in defence must be noted.
