Struggling pair to serve up entertaining contest

Two of the Championship’s bottom three will meet at Home Park on Tuesday, but while South Coast rivals Plymouth and Portsmouth are struggling for wins, both know where the back of the net is.

Plymouth have picked up 11 of their 12 points on home soil this season, while all but one of their 13 goals have been netted on their own patch.

Portsmouth’s tally of six points on the road is double what they have acquired on their own patch, while their seven away fixtures to date in the second tier have yielded 27 goals, 10 for and 17 against.

Nothing to separate South Coast pair

Three of Plymouth’s previous four home fixtures have produced over 3.5 goals, while that has also been a winning bet in three of Portsmouth’s seven road games, with both teams finding the back of the net in all but one of those as well.

With five of the last six meetings between these two sides also featuring a minimum of four goals, there should be plenty of attacking threat on show, while of those six clashes, four have finished 2-2 – a repeat scoreline on Tuesday cannot be ruled out.
