Goals likely as QPR and West Brom square up

Back both teams to get on the scoresheet in Saturday’s Championship clash between QPR and West Brom at Loftus Road. West Brom were 3-2 winners against Swansea last weekend and there should be goals for both sides in this one.

West Brom are one place above QPR in the table but the two sides are level on points, with seven wins, four draws and seven defeats each.

QPR have lost three of their last four home league games, but two weeks ago they were 3-2 winners over Hull. West Brom have won their last two clashes with these opponents and have returned home winners on four of their last six visits to QPR.

QPR lost 3-1 to Norwich last weekend, in what was the hosts’ first win in 13 Championship games. This result kept up the recent trend of matches with both teams scoring. QPR had been priced at 17/10 to win.

Both sides have found the net in West Brom’s last four Championship matches and in four of QPR’s last six.

Both teams are struggling at the back. QPR have failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last seven Championship games, while West Brom have been unable to keep their opponents at bay in five straight matches.

Scoring has not been an issue for West Brom lately. They have found the net in their last four league games, scoring at least twice in three of those, including a 3-2 win over Swansea last weekend.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking a decent correct-score bet. Four of QPR’s last six Championship games and West Brom’s last four have seen both sides score.
