Real Oviedo vs Valencia Predictions

Valencia are the best bet to win at Oviedo on Saturday. The hosts have lost their last two home league games and there could be more disappointment in store for Guillermo Almada’s side.

Valencia are eight places and 14 points above Oviedo in the table, with a record of eight wins, eight draws and 11 losses from their 27 games this season. In contrast, Oviedo are propping up the table with just three wins so far.

Valencia maintained their winning habit last weekend, fighting back from a goal down at half time to beat struggling CD Alaves 3-2. Javi Guerra, Eray Comert and Hugo Duro all scored for the hosts, who were priced at 21/20 to win the game and justified their position as favourites. They left their scoring for the second half – 80% of their goals this season have been scored after the break.

Oviedo have been unable to keep their opponents at bay in five straight Primera Liga games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in ten of their last 12. Their last clean sheet was against Girona in January.

They are struggling to get results, having gone five games without recording a victory and failing to win nine of their last ten Primera Liga games.

Valencia have been in goal-scoring form, finding the net in 15 of their last 16 league games. They have scored in four successive Primera Liga matches, including a 3-2 victory over CD Alaves last weekend.

They are in form, aiming for a third straight success in the Primera Liga. They have won three of their last four matches.

No Primera Liga team has played more games this season in which at least one team has failed to score than Oviedo, and they have suffered five 2-0 losses in the league. Valencia to win away 2-0 looks a decent correct-score bet.
