Celta can win on the road

Celta Vigo look set to continue their good form away to Real Sociedad on Sunday. Claudio Giraldez’s side enjoyed a big win last time out and they can secure another victory at the Reale Arena.

Celta Vigo secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano last weekend, having opened the scoring in their last three games. They have won seven of the 13 games in which they’ve scored first this season (54%).

Celta Vigo are two places above Real Sociedad in the table and have eight points more than their hosts. Celta, who are sixth with eight wins, eight draws and four losses, face eighth-placed Real, who have won six, drawn six and lost eight of their 20 games this season.

Celta Vigo have been in excellent form, winning six of their last eight Primera Liga games and losing just one of their last ten away matches. They have also lost only one of their last six meetings with Real Sociedad.

The hosts have looked vulnerable in defence, with Real Sociedad failing to keep a clean sheet in 23 of their last 24 Primera Liga games. They have gone seven home games without keeping out their opponents.

Celta Vigo have been in an attacking mood lately, scoring at least twice in four of their last six Primera Liga games.

A 2-1 away win for Celta Vigo looks a decent correct-score bet. Sixteen of Real Sociedad’s last 20 Primera Liga games have ended with both sides scoring, and they have lost by a single goal seven times in the league.
