In-form Lyon can raid Rennes

Lyon have enjoyed a perfect start to the season with nine points from three games and they can extend that winning streak at Rennes in the late Ligue 1 kick off on Sunday.

Rennes opened their account with an impressive win over Marseille but have struggled since, losing 4-0 at Lorient and then playing out a 1-1 draw at Angers in their last outing.

Two early red cards did the damage for Les Rennais at Lorient, but Lyon are the team in form here and they look good value to come away with the spoils.

Les Gones won 4-1 when these sides last met in a reverse fixture back in April but they may have to settle for a more modest 1-0 win here.

A Lyon clean sheet is expected as they are yet to concede, but Rennes tend to be fairly solid defensively at home as they shipped just 17 goals in as many home games last season and they can keep this game close even if they are unable to pick up any points on Sunday.
