      Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Recent history strongly supports both teams getting on the scoresheet when Roma host Milan. Seven of the last nine Serie A meetings in Rome have featured goals at both ends, and 13 of the last 16 meetings overall have seen BTTS land. Roma have scored in nine of their last 11 home league games, while Milan have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last ten league outings.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

A 1-1 draw appeals given the balanced form of both teams and their shared tendency for low-scoring encounters recently. Roma’s last head-to-head with Milan ended 1-1 and eight of their last nine league games have featured under 2.5 goals. This could be a tense draw with both sides cancelling each other out.

      Roma vs AC Milan Predictions

Roma’s top four hopes are fading

Seven of the last nine times that Roma have hosted Milan in Serie A have ended with both sides finding the net and this is the best bet again when they meet at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

Roma are sixth in the table, two places above Milan, with three points separating the two teams. Roma have won 18 and Milan 17 of their 36 games this season but it is the side from the capital with the more realistic hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, although neither side is certain of qualifying for any European competition with two matches remaining of the season.

Roma have enjoyed success in nine of their last 11 home games in Serie A, including a 1-0 win over Fiorentina two weeks ago. Milan are in good form themselves in Serie A, aiming for a fourth straight league success, but the blow of losing Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final to Bologna will be a difficult one to overcome.

Both teams have scored in 13 of the last 16 Serie A meetings between Roma and Milan, with both sides finding the net by the break the last time they met in December.

Roma have failed to keep a clean sheet in 18 of their last 20 Serie A games against Milan and the visitors have gone ten without a shutout.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking like a decent correct-score bet. They drew 1-1 last time they met in Serie A and eight of Roma’s last nine league games have stayed under 2.5 goals.
