Rotherham striding towards the top two

A terrific run of form has catapulted Rotherham into the upper echelons of the League One table with the home side sitting third heading into this fixture. No side has accumulated more points than the Millers have taken from their last 10 league fixtures with 22 points.

They are unbeaten in 13 matches in all competitions and a 3-0 win over Bromley in the FA Cup last week was their eighth win in 10. Rotherham have won five of their nine home fixtures including three of their last four to leave them five points off top spot with a game in hand.

Cambridge advanced in the FA Cup last week themselves but have won just two of their last 10 league matches. The visitors sit 12th and will be looking over their shoulder as opposed to up the table, having played a game more than many of the sides below them.

The away side lost their most recent league fixture on the road in a 4-1 loss at MK Dons and given Rotherham’s recent form this is another arduous task.

The hosts have conceded just 12 goals this season and boast the league’s best defence. Rotherham have been hitting the front frequently of late and I’m tipping them to control this game from start to finish with a 2-0 win.
