    Sweden

      Tip Reasoning

It’s an important clash in Group G, which is currently surprisingly led by Austria. Sweden are unbeaten with three wins and three draws, but they’re only four points ahead of third place Russia, who have had a difficult qualifying campaign. The two sides drew 1-1 in their first meeting in Sweden during qualifying.

Russia’s campaign was really de-railed by a pair of surprise defeats to Austria. They travelled to Vienna last November and lost 1-0, but even more frustratingly, they were held and beaten 1-0 at home in June. At times, this talented side appears to lack cutting edge in the final third and that could be a problem against a resilient Swedish side as well.

The next two games will define the qualification campaign for Sweden. On Tuesday, they’ll face Austria at home after Saturday’s match-up in Russia. Some sort of result from this game would be enough to keep the Swedes comfortably in second place, but the risk of Austria pulling away in first place could also be a factor. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the superstar for this side, his status for Saturday’s game is not fully known, but it in these moments that Zlatan has stepped up for Sweden before.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Sweden are better than they’ve shown

Quietly, Sweden is a side with a pretty good starting line-up and they won’t be a favoured opponent in Euro 2016 (assuming they qualify). We think that they’ll make a little bit of a statement in this match-up.

      2. Unimpressive Russia

They’ve been a good team over the last decade, but there’s a toothlessness and a cluelessness about the current set-up, it just doesn’t look right and doesn’t appear to be working right now.

      3. Double chance covers stalemate

There’s always a chance that two sides like this will end up battling out a stalemate and the Double Chance, at not far off even odds covers that eventuality. Still, we think this will be Sweden’s night.
