Santos vs Juventude Predictions

• Santos have won their last three games in all competitions and their last five starts at home.

Promoted Juve set to struggle at Santos

Santos and Juventude meet for the first time since 2007 at Urbano Caldeira this Saturday and it’s the hosts who are tipped to comfortably land the spoils.

Santos began their Serie A campaign in woeful fashion two weeks ago with a 3-0 defeat at Bahia, but they got up and running here last weekend with a much improved display and cosy 3-1 success over Ceara.

Copa do Brasil victories against Cianorte either side of that result mean Peixe have now won three on the spin and they’ve also won each of their last five starts at Urbano Caldeira in all competitions, keeping clean sheets in four.

Juventude earned a decent 2-2 draw at Cuiaba in their opener, but last weekend’s 0-3 beating at the hands of Athletico Paranaense could set the tone for Juve this term on their return to the top flight.

Marquinhos Santos’ charges look set to struggle and it’s hard to envisage them getting anything from this Saturday’s fixture. Despite promotion last season, Juve still lost nine of their 19 away trips in Serie B so they’re likely to toil even more on their travels this term against far superior opposition.

Santos should prove to be a class apart and Fernando Diniz’ side are tipped to triumph without conceding, while we’re also forecasting a 2-0 correct score.
