Sarpsborg 08 vs Odd Betting Tips & Predictions

Sarpsborg 08 had another torrid evening away from home on Monday as Stromsgodset thrashed them 4-0 to make it two heavy defeats in a row away from home. Fortunately their home form is still looking good, and their record of 15 points from the opening 11 matches isn’t too bad.

In all competitions the hosts have won six of their last eight matches, but both of their defeats during this period have come in the last three outings so their confidence will have dipped slightly.

Odd have made a decent start to the Eliteserien after finishing 4th last season. They are coming into this match in 2nd position, but they need to maintain some good form in order to avoid the risk of Rosenborg running away with the lead. The leaders won the Eliteserien by a 12 point margin last term, and they already lead Odd by five points after just 11 games.

Odd come into this game having won five of their last six matches in all competitions and nine of their last 11. They did suffer a 3-1 defeat to Haugesund last Wednesday in their most recent away game, but before that they had won six on the trot away from home.

Sarpsborg 08 have won two, drawn two, and lost one of their last five home games, but they could find it difficult to maintain their good defensive record against a free scoring Odd side. The visitors have netted 20 times in their last seven away games, a record which has resulted in each of their last four trips away producing three or more goals.

Seven of Sarpsborg 08’s last 13 home games have ended with at least three goals being scored, and centre back Ole Hansen’s suspension certainly won’t aid their chances of keeping Odd out.
