Scunthorpe vs Swindon Betting Tips & Predictions

Scunthorpe have really gone off the boil recently. They were looking in very good knick for a playoff spot in League One a month or two ago, but they have stopped winning games and seen themselves slip down to 13th in the table.

They have an eight point deficit to make up before they reach 6th placed Bradford, and they will take a long time if they continue in this vein of form. They have only won one of their last eight League One matches.

To be fair, only one of them has been a defeat as well, but that still makes it 15 points dropped in their last eight games. It doesn’t get much better on home turf either, with five of their last eight games there ending all square.

Swindon lost 4-1 to Wigan on Friday to end their seven match unbeaten streak in League One, but a loss against the title challengers isn’t much to be ashamed of.

Overall this season has been a bit of a write off though. They have failed to build on their playoff finish last term and find themselves 11 points off the playoffs down in 15th position. They are in good form though, having one lost one of their last eight. They are also coming into this match having not lost any of their last four matches on the road.

Considering Scunthorpe’s recent struggles to win matches and Swindon’s excellent form I think odds of 10/11 for a Swindon Win or Draw Double Chance are incredibly good value for money, and that’s what I’m backing along with a 1-1 draw at 11/2.
