Shrewsbury Town vs Port Vale Predictions
Shrewsbury Town finally managed to pick up a bit of momentum this month, and they come into this match enjoying a six match unbeaten streak in League One, with their 12 point return from these six matches seeing themselves distanced from the relegation battle.
They now sit in a relatively comfortable 17th position, with eight points separating them from the drop spots. This will please them enormously, as before this run it looked like they could be in line for a swift return to League Two.
Port Vale managed to avoid relegation from League One last season, and they have managed to pick up some excellent runs of form this season to put them well in contention for a playoff position.
They come into this match in 10th position in the table, but there is only a three point gap separating them from 6th placed Barnsley. The race for 6th is looking like it could be a tasty one this season.
Port Vale saw their own unbeaten streak come to an end last weekend as top of the table Burton Albion thrashed them 4-0. This was their first loss in four games, but their form is still looking good with three wins, one draw, and one defeat from their last five matches.
Both of these sides have been impressive going forward recently. Shrewsbury Town have notched nine goals in their last five matches and have found the net in each game, while Port Vale only failed to score in one of their last five and have also found the net nine times. This makes odds of 4/5 for Both Teams to Score look good value to me, and I’m also backing a high scoring 2-2 draw at 14/1.
