Two out of form teams meet in the Premier League on Saturday as Southampton host Brentford.

The arrival of new boss Ivan Juric hasn’t provided any kind of boost for rock bottom Saints as they have lost both games since he took charge.

Brentford arrive seeking a first away win of the season and the Bees are in poor form in general as they are winless in five, although they have had a tough schedule.

Going for a match result as our main bet is perhaps unwise here given Brentford’s road issues and the fact Southampton have a paltry six points on the board after 19 games.

Brentford managed a point at Brighton in their last trip and prior to that out in reasonable displays in defeats at Newcastle (in the EFL Cup), Chelsea and Aston Villa.

A similar level of performance may be enough for all three points against this Southampton outfit who are 10 points adrift of safety and seemingly destined for an immediate return to the second tier, so a 2-1 win for the visitors is the correct score prediction.

Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo has three goals in his last six games, including the Bees’ last away goal in the league at Chelsea, and he looks the best anytime scorer bet.
