Southampton vs Fulham Predictions

  • Fulham have lost six of their last seven league games.
  • Fulham have failed to score in three of their last four matches.
  • Southampton have taken seven points from the last nine on offer at home.
  • Southampton have lost only one of their last five games at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Saints to see off Fulham?

Southampton haven’t won back-to-back Premier League games since before Christmas, though the Saints will fancy their chances of following up their midweek victory over Crystal Palace with another against Fulham on Saturday.

The Cottagers’ relegation and return to the Championship after just one campaign in the top-flight was confirmed on Monday when they were beaten 2-0 at home by Burnley.

That was Fulham’s sixth reverse in seven assignments and though they showed real fight at the turn of the year, their results on exiting the division have undoubtedly been relegation standard.

Southampton meanwhile, look like they could finish the season with a flourish. The injury picture looks a lot clearer now for Ralph Hasenhüttl and England hopeful Danny Ings returned to the fold with two goals in Tuesday’s win against the Eagles.

The Saints – who have taken seven of the last nine points on offer at St. Mary’s Stadium – are close to evens to dispatch Fulham in a similar manner and we recommend backing them to do just that.

Our 2-0 correct score prediction tips that Ings and Che Adams double act to produce the good for Southampton again, while a Fulham outift that failed to notch in three of their last four fixtures could fire blanks once more.

Southampton injuries and team news

William Smallbone and Ryan Bertrand are ruled out for Southampton, while Jan Bednarek is a doubt having come off at half time on Tuesday. Oriol Romeu is close to a comeback, though Saturday’s game could come too soon for him to feature.

Fulham injuries and team news

Terence Kongolo is out for Fulham while loanee Mario Lemina cannot face his parent club. Tom Cairney and Harrison Reed are also rated as doubtful.
