Fulham Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Southampton have won only twice in 17 attempts at home this season, losing on 12 occasions, and Fulham can inflict them to relegation at St Mary’s. The Cottagers have a good record against the division’s lesser lights and have star striker Aleksandar Mitrovic back from suspension.

Fulham 2-1

Reason for tip

Goals could be on the cards in this one with Southampton on the brink of relegation and Fulham proving vulnerable defensively. Fulham were 2-1 winners in the reverse fixture and a repeat scoreline could be on the cards.

Southampton vs Fulham Predictions

  • Southampton have lost nine of their last 11 home games
  • Fulham have won on all four previous away trips to bottom-five sides
  • Fulham are without a clean sheet in 11 league games

Cottagers can put Saints out their misery

Failing to beat Fulham would see Southampton officially relegated to the Championship and the Cottagers look poised to put the struggling Saints out of their misery.

It has been a season to forget for Southampton, who have looked destined for the drop for some time, and no win in ten has left them eight points adrift of safety with only three games to go.

Ruben Selles’s side have won only twice in 17 attempts at home, losing on 12 occasions and failing to score in four of their last seven defeats at St Mary’s.

Fulham, meanwhile, are enjoying a fine season on their Premier League return and are still on course for a top-half finish after snapping their three-game losing sequence in thrilling fashion with 5-3 win at home to Leicester last time out.

The Cottagers can also welcome leading marksman Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has been banned for eight games, back for this game which should only enhance their winning chances.

Fulham have also been pretty productive against the division’s lesser lights this season.

Marco Silva’s side have won on trips to Forest, Leeds, Leicester and Everton – four of the other current bottom five along with Southampton – this season while they were also 2-1 winners when hosting the Saints in December.

The visitors’ form has been patchy of late and no clean sheet in 11 offers Southampton some hope.

But the Saints have little confidence in the camp after their 4-3 loss at Nottingham Forest last time out and nine of their last 11 home league games have ended in defeat.

With Mitrovic back leading the line and Willian, after his brace against the Foxes, rejuvenated, Fulham are by far the most likely winners of this contest and make plenty of appeal on the draw-no-bet market.

Southampton, to their credit, have scored in four of their last six league games and that includes netting three in a draw at Arsenal and scoring a consolation goal in defeat to Manchester City.

That means correct-score punters should opt for the Saints to also get on the scoresheet and backing Fulham to win 2-1, as they did against the hosts earlier in the season, is the way to go.
