Can Gijon bounce back?

Sporting Gijon suffered a humbling 5-0 hammering at Granada last time out, but their form is generally pretty good at home, winning three of their five outings.

Those victories came against Andorra, Ibiza and Villarreal II, so although the opposition has not been top class, they have more than held their own.

Abelardo Fernández’s side have also lost just three of their last ten home clashes with Eibar, so they will be hopeful of picking up another important win.

Eibar fighting for promotion

Eibar’s 2021/22 campaign ended in disappointment, but they are looking to atone this year and are around the promotion positions after a run of four games without defeat.

Gaizka Garitano’s side haven’t been in great touch on the road though, with their only win from five outings coming at Ibiza last time out.

Other than that, they have drawn two and lost two, with the defeats coming against Leganes and Andorra.
