Norway Women to Win

Reason for tip

Hosts Switzerland have lost six of their last nine internationals, including home and away defeats to Norway. This Norway side is packed with talent and they’ve only lost twice since their new manager took charge earlier this year.

Switzerland Women vs Norway Women Predictions

  • Norway won home and away against Switzerland earlier this year
  • The Swiss have lost six of their previous nine internationals
  • Norway boast a talented squad which is heading in the right direction under their new manager

Norway target top spot

Norway are aiming to put a couple of difficult tournaments behind them at Euro 2025, as they embark on a new era under English coach Gemma Grainger.

While Norway have exited at the group stage of the previous two Women’s Euros, we’ve backed them to finish top of Group A in our outright predictions following a kind draw.

Norway progressed to the tournament through the playoffs, but they beat Albania 14-0 and Northern Ireland 7-0 on aggregate to secure their place in Switzerland. They went into the draw as third seeds, but hosts Switzerland are the top-seeded side in their group.

Norway beat the Swiss home and away in the Nations League earlier this year, while the hosts enter the tournament having lost six of their last nine internationals.

Norway looked a little too functional in their Nations League campaign, but they have only lost to France and Sweden since Grainger took over in February. The return of Ada Hegerberg after a five-year absence from the national team adds even more quality to this Norway side, which should see them beat the Swiss on their way to topping the group.
