Inter Milan left it late to secure top spot in Group E in a hot-tempered 2-0 win over River Plate, and it could be another tense affair when they face a Fluminense side who know how to defend on Monday.

The Brazilian club held both Borussia Dortmund and Mamelodi Sundowns to goalless draws either side of a win over Ulsan HD, and four of their last five competitive games have featured fewer than three goals.

They limited Borussia Dortmund to just three shots on target and 0.24 expected goals in their opener, and with Inter Milan seeing fewer than three goals in two of their three Club World Cup ties, backing under 2.5 goals appears to be the way to go on Monday.

Given how late the Nerazzurri left things against River Plate and Fluminense’s backs-to-the-wall performances against Dortmund and Mamelodi Sundowns, another goalless draw could be on the cards.
