Torino vs Atalanta Predictions

Back a tense clash

There may not be much excitement in Sunday’s clash between Torino and Atalanta at Stadio Filadelfia, and under 2.5 goals looks the best bet. Thirteen of Torino’s last 15 Serie A games have ended with under 2.5 goals and the league is averaging just 2.2 goals a game this season.

Atalanta are seventh in Serie A, three places above Torino, with a point separating the two teams. Atalanta have won one and drawn two of their three games, while Torino have won one, drawn one and lost one.

Torino are struggling to get wins, having failed to win seven of their last eight Serie A games, but they were 1-0 victors against Roma last weekend. However, Atalanta have gone unbeaten on nine of their last ten league road trips and have won seven of the last nine.

Torino will be buzzing after beating Roma 1-0 last weekend to bring the hosts’ four-game unbeaten run in Serie A to an end. Giovanni Simeone scored the only goal of the game on 59 minutes, and Torino left their scoring for the second half – 100% of their goals this season have been scored after the break. They were priced at 11/2, the biggest price they have won at so far this season.

Under 2.5 goals has been a feature of Torino’s last few matches, with 17 of their last 19 home games in Serie A ending with under three goals.

Atalanta to win away 2-0 looks a decent correct-score bet. Torino’s last six Serie A matches have all featured at least one team not scoring and Atalanta are the better side here.
