Spain -2

Reason for tip

Spain were held to a 0-0 draw by Cape Verde in their opener but can respond in style against Saudi Arabia. Key attackers Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams should come back into the La Roja starting side and they can cover a -2 handicap against a Saudi Arabia side who lost three of their six warm-up games.

Spain 4-0

Reason for tip

Spain should be fired up and eager to make a statement and a 4-0 win for the Europeans has a chance. Saudi Arabia failed to score in three of their six warm-up friendlies, and that run included a 4-0 defeat to Egypt.

Lamine Yamal To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Lamine Yamal should come back into the starting side and he can open his account for the tournament after signing off with three goals in as many games for Barcelona.

Spain vs Saudi Arabia Predictions

  • Spain will be looking to respond after a disappointing opener
  • Saudi Arabia faced 27 shots (10 on target) against Uruguay
  • Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams should start for La Roja

Spain in need of a boost

Spain came into World Cup 2026 as the pre-tournament favourites but they were left stunned in their opener as they were held to a 0-0 draw by minnows Cape Verde.

La Roja now take on Saudi Arabia and they should view this clash with Saudi Arabia as a must-win game as they face Uruguay in the final round of Group H fixtures.

Saudi Arabia claimed an important point against Uruguay in their own opener but following that up with a positive result against Spain looks a huge ask and backing the Europeans to cover a -2 handicap is the bet.

La Roja may have drawn a blank against Cape Verde but they did manage 27 attempts, with seven on target. Cape Verde keeper Vozinha was in inspired form but he didn’t have to cope with Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams for the majority of the game as they started on the bench.

Spain’s star attacking duo should come back into the starting side on Sunday and that should allow Luis de la Fuente’s side to take their frustrations out on The Green Falcons.

Saudi Arabia may have claimed a point against Uruguay but they spent the majority of the game on the back foot. La Celeste had 27 attempts and 10 on target, while the Saudis had seven shots.

Spain should be fired up and eager to make a statement on Sunday and they can cover a -2 handicap. A 4-0 La Roja win is the correct score pick as Saudi Arabia failed to score in three of their six warm-up friendlies, and that run included a 4-0 defeat to Egypt.

Yamal looks the standout bet for an anytime effort as he hit three goals in as many games for club side Barcelona before injury ended his season early.
