Toulouse to win well

Just four games stand between Toulouse and promotion to the top-flight as Ligue 2 Champions. However, the championship is not quite confirmed yet so they will still be right at it, in search of mathematical promotion after a heartbreaking promotion play-off defeat last season.

Toulouse have maintained their lead at the top of the table by scoring an insane amount of goals. In fact, their 75 goal haul at this stage is more than twice as many as second placed Ajaccio.

Moreover, Toulouse top the ‘first-half’ table (W17, D11, L6), scoring as many goals as the second-placed side has overall (35) just in the opening 45 minutes.

Niort to play for nought

Too far from the promotion places and the relegation spot, Niort’s Ligue 2 campaign seems to have already faded into obscurity. As such, the players may well have their sandals on as they try to spoil Toulouse’s promotion party.
