Tromso vs Lillestrom Predictions

• Lillestrom have won each of their last three league games, and seven of their last eight.
• The visitors have won two of their last three on the road, only dropping points in a 1-1 draw with Europa Conference League quarter-finalists Bodo/Glimt.

Lillestrom looking to maintain strong pace

Having won three consecutive games to open up a two-point lead at the top of the Norwegian Eliteserien with a game in hand, Lillestrom – the only unbeaten side in the 16-team division – go in search of another victory when they travel to Tromso on Sunday. The Canaries have lost just one of their last eight meetings with Tromso, and should be confident of furthering that record.

Indeed, Geir Bakke’s side have won seven of their last eight games, and two of their last three on their travels, only dropping points against a Bodo/Glimt side who avoided defeat against Europa Conference League winners Roma on three occasions this term. The visitors have kept four clean sheets in their last six league games, and their record of just five goals conceded this term is the division’s best.

Tromso, meanwhile, have only won one of their last six Eliteserien games, a home win against Valerenga over a fortnight ago. They’ve drawn four games during that sequence, including against strugglers Jerv, and have not managed more than a single goal in any of their last four games, despite seeing both teams net in six of their last seven contests.

Visitors under-priced to continue excellent form

Given Lillestrom’s excellent start to the campaign, which has seen them pick up strong results on their travels as well as on their own turf, backing them for an away win at an extremely generous price seems the most prudent play for Sunday’s clash.

However, Tromso’s record of seeing both teams score in numerous recent games suggests they could land a blow, so a 2-1 away win looks a decent correct score prediction.
