Hosts can claim three points

Hoffenheim are the best bet away at Heidenheim on Saturday. Christian Ilzer’s side enjoyed a big win in their last Bundesliga game and can get another WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena.

Hoffenheim bounced back in style from defeat by Cologne three weeks ago, beating St Pauli 3-0. Bazoumana Toure opened the scoring in the 54th minute, and Andrej Kramaric and Grischa Promel also netted. St Pauli had their chances but didn’t make the most of them, and Hoffenheim were comfortable winners at odds of 7/4.

They are nine places above Heidenheim in the table, but just six points separate the two sides. Heidenheim, who have won once and lost five of their seven games this season, are 17th, while Hoffenheim are eighth with three wins and three defeats.

Heidenheim’s defence has been far from watertight. They have been unable to keep their opponents at bay in eight straight Bundesliga games and have conceded on all three of their away days this season.

Heidenheim have struggled on the road, losing three straight away games and failing to win any of their last six. They have not tasted victory in seven of their last eight Bundesliga matches overall.

Hoffenheim may be able to edge out Heidenheim in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Five of Hoffenheim’s seven Bundesliga matches this season have seen both teams score.
