Stuttgart and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Stuttgart have won their last three away league games, all with both teams scoring. Meanwhile, Hoffenheim have failed to win four of their last five home Bundesliga games, with BTTS landing in four of them.

Stuttgart 2-1

Reason for tip

Hoffenheim have conceded an average of 1.8 goals across their last 10 home games and are without two key defenders through suspension. Stuttgart have scored two or more goals in seven of their last eight games in all competitions, but have not kept an away clean sheet since October.

Deniz Undav To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Deniz Undav, who has scored five goals in his last four Bundesliga starts, can celebrate his debut call-up to the Germany squad with another against a side that are leaking goals and without two key defenders through suspension.

TSG Hoffenheim vs Stuttgart Predictions

  • Hoffenheim have failed to win four of their last five home Bundesliga games and are without several key players through injury and suspension
  • Deniz Undav has scored five goals in his last four Bundesliga starts

Stuttgart can stay the course

Stuttgart are breathing down the necks of second-placed Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and should keep the pressure up with a win at a weakened Hoffenheim outfit on Saturday.

The Swabians stretched their unbeaten run to five games with a 2-0 home victory over Union Berlin last week and are just four points behind the Bavarians.

Dieter Hoeness’ side have won their last three road games too and should not fear a Hoffenheim team that have slipped up too many times at home of late.

Hoffenheim have a lengthy list of absentees

Pellegrino Matarazzo’s men have drawn three and lost one of their last five at home with conceding late goals being a constant theme. And the Hoffenheim coach will be without defenders Ozan Kabak and John Brooks this weekend after they were both sent off in last Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Midfielder Anton Stach is a doubt, potentially adding to an already-long list of injury absentees for the hosts.  It is a big ask for a weakened Hoffenheim side to disrupt Stuttgart’s momentum, but they should be able to score against a team that has not kept an away clean sheet in eight games.

The return of Deniz Undav to Stuttgart’s probable starting line-up should also help the visitors get the goals they need. The on-loan Brighton striker, who has scored five goals in his last four Bundesliga starts, can celebrate his call-up to the Germany squad with another.
