After winning Euro 2024, Spain’s men are chasing more success at the Olympic Games in Paris. The Spanish took silver at the games in Tokyo in 2021, but they’ll be aiming to go one better following their glory in Germany.

The Spanish have a straightforward opener in prospect, but they meet a Uzbekistan side that can cause problems. Defensively the underdogs aren’t quite up to scratch, but both teams have scored in each of their three warm-up friendlies over the last month.

This Spanish side hasn’t had quite the same time to gel, while their overage players have reinforced their attacking options, potentially leaving them short at the back.

Uzbekistan have brought two overage attackers, including captain Eldor Shomurodov who has 40 goals in 73 games for the senior side. They should be able to cause problems for the Spanish, but back Santi Denia’s side to claim a 2-1 victory.
