Tip Reasoning

  • Valencia have only lost two of their last 13 home matches
  • Cadiz are without a win in four on the road
  • Cadiz have managed just two league victories against sides in the top half of the table

Valencia in great form

Valencia headed into the international break on the back of four wins in five matches, a run that also saw them keep four clean sheets and leaves them eight points off the European spots.

José Bordalás’ side have not had a vintage campaign, but they have remained strong at home, where only Barcelona, Espanyol and Real Madrid have beaten them this season.

They also have recent history with Cadiz, beating them 2-1 in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals at the Mestalla in February, so know they have the wood over their opposition.

Cadiz one point above the bottom three

Cadiz could barely be in a more perilous position in La Liga, but two wins in their last three games means they have moved one point clear of the bottom three.

Their away form remains poor though, successful just three times in 14 attempts on their travels, while of their five league victories, only two have come against sides in the top half of the table.

Sergio González’s side half failed to score in half of their last eight on the road, with five of those fixtures also ending in defeat.

I predict Valencia will win this game without conceding, as they are strong in defence and Cadiz are not great in attack, selecting 2-0 as a correct score prediction.
