Valencia 2-1 @ 8/1

Reason For Valencia vs Cadiz Predictions

  • Valencia have lost three of their eight home matches this season (W2, D3), but two of those defeats came against leaders Atletico Madrid (0-1) and fifth-placed Sevilla (0-1).
  • However, Los Che are yet to keep a clean sheet at Mestalla this term.
  • Cadiz have picked up just one point from their last four away starts.
  • The visitors have managed to score in five of their eight games on the road this term.

Crucial Fixture Ahead for Los Che

A Valencia side winless in seven will be desperate to kick off 2021 with an important victory on Monday when they square off against declining Cadiz at Mestalla.

Back to back defeats before the brief Christmas break saw Los Che drop into the bottom three and Javi Gracia’s men have now won just one of their last dozen La Liga starts, losing six.

That’s serious relegation form and the perennial crisis club could well bite the dust this season unless things pick up soon.

It’s hard to be too confident about Los Che’s chances in any game at the moment based on those results, although there are reasons to believe that they could be good to oust Cadiz this week.

Despite the visitors being eight places above Valencia in 10th, only four points separate the sides and Cadiz appear to be only heading in one direction following one win and five defeats from their last eight matches.

Alvaro Cervera’s side have picked up just a single point from their last four away games – a run which has included a pair of 4-0 batterings against Atletico Madrid and Celta Vigo.

Two of Valencia’s three defeats at Mestalla this season were narrow 0-1 reverses against leaders Atleti and in-form Sevilla, while they have managed to hit four here in victories over Levante (4-2) and Real Madrid (4-1).

That swings things in their favour for this Monday night clash and we’re also predicting a 2-1 correct score as Los Che are yet to maintain a clean sheet at home so far this term.
