Varberg BoIS vs Gefle IF Predictions

• Seven of Varberg’s last nine games have seen both teams score
• Both teams have also netted in three of Gefle’s last four outings
• Varberg have kept just one clean sheet in their six home league fixtures this season

Varberg beginning to find form?

It took a little while for Varberg to adjust to life back in the Superettan, but a 1-0 win at Utsikten seems to show they have turned the corner, as that was a fourth game without defeat.

The five outings prior to that one had seen both teams score, so clean sheets have generally been pretty tough for Martin Skogman’s side, but it also shows they know where the back of the net is themselves.

Indeed, seven of their last nine outings have seen both teams score, including three successive fixtures at home.

Gefle slipping down the table

Visitors Gefle on the other hand are heading the other way, as emphasised by a 2-1 reversal to Landskrona last time out, a three defeat from their last four fixtures.

Three of those games have seen both teams score, as have two of their last four on the road, a 4-3 defeat to Ostersunds and 2-1 loss against Oddevold.

Indeed, results away from home are not good, with Mikael Bengtsson’s side winless on their travels in the Superettan over 11 games since August last year!

I predict that both teams will score in this game, while selecting a 2-1 victory to Varbergs as my correct score prediction.
