Walsall vs Crawley Town Predictions
- Both teams have scored in five of Walsall’s last seven home games
- Crawley are on a run of seven defeats in nine matches
- The Reds have netted in each of their last five away games
Walsall Desperate For Three Points
Walsall have only won one of their last seven matches, a run that has seen them fall away from the League Two play-off positions, but this could be the perfect opportunity to turn their form around.
The Saddlers are actually without a win in five matches at the Bescot Stadium, but prior to this run, they have picked up four successive victories on home soil.
Matt Taylor’s side need to keep things tighter at the back, with both teams scoring in seven of their home league games, but only Rochdale have prevented them from scoring on home soil.
Crawley In Free-Fall
Crawley too are having problems keeping clean sheets, managing just two in their last fourteen games, while they are on a wretched run of seven defeats in nine.
On the road in the league, they have not fared too badly, winning three of eight fixtures, all of them by a narrow 1-0 scoreline.
Equally though, John Yems’ side have lost their other five matches on their travels, conceding 12 in the process, and it is difficult to see how they will turn their poor run around in this one.
They traditionally struggle at the Bescot Stadium (they have lost their last three away league games to the Saddlers) and although I predict both teams will score, I think Walsall will get a much needed win courtesy of a 2-1 victory.
