AFC Bournemouth vs Hull City Predictions
- Hull City are scoring just 0.69 goals per league game away from home this season.
- None of the three prior meetings between managers Scott Parker and Grant McCann saw both teams score.
- Bournemouth’s last 28 home league games against newly-promoted teams have seen them win 19, draw eight and lose just once.
Bournemouth are stuttering
Bournemouths automatic promotion hopes have taken a dent in recent weeks as they claimed just two victories across their last nine league matches. They suffered a disappointing 3-2 loss to Luton Town last time out via a 97-th minute winner and it leaves them level on points with third-placed Blackburn Rovers. They do however have a game in hand over the Rovers and will be keen to secure a victory against lowly Hull City.
The Tigers are coming off the back of an eyebrow-raising 2-0 victory over the aforementioned Blackburn Rovers last time out and that seemed to coincide with the news that they now have new owners. That win saw them pull further away from the relegation zone and they now sit seven points clear from the dreaded dropzone and now their attention will turn towards putting back-to-back wins together.
Goals in short supply at the Vitality
We think this one will be a low scoring affair as Hull City will look to frustrate Bournemouth and hit on the break in a similar fashion to the way they handled Blackburn. Hull City themselves are scoring just 0.69 goals per game. Bournemouth are rightfully favourites coming into this one and we fancy them to claim victory here. They have an excellent record against newly-promoted sides and we think they’ll be too strong for this Hull City outfit.
