Watford
    Crystal Palace

      Tip Reasoning

After failing to win any of their opening four Premier League games following their promotion, Watford have now managed to claim three points on two consecutive occasions.

They weren’t disgraceful in their opening encounters though, picking up draws in each of their first three games against Everton, West Brom, and Southampton before losing 2-0 to Manchester City.

But they finally broke their goal drought against Swansea, with Odion Ighalo scoring Watford’s first goal since the opening day of the season in a 1-0 victory. He then followed this up with a brace against Newcastle in a 2-1 win.

Crystal Palace enjoyed a very good start to their season, winning three of their first four Premier League games, only falling to defeat against Arsenal.

However, tough games against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur over the last couple of weeks have seen them succumb to back to back 1-0 losses.

They have been somewhat unfortunate in both of these games though. They put in a really good display against Manchester City, and it was only due to a 90th minute goal that they didn’t come away with a point.

They managed to bounce back in the Capital One Cup in midweek though when they beat Shewsbury Town 4-1 away from home.

Valon Behrami will miss out for Watford due to the red card he picked up against Swansea, whilst Lloyd Doyley and Joel Ekstrand are still out injured.

Connor Wickham, Marouane Chamakh, Joel Ward, and Kwesi Appiah are all ruled out for the visitors because of injury problems.

Watford have only won one of the last nine meetings with Crystal Palace, and Palace have won six of these games.

I think they’ll pick up another victory to regain their Premier League form on Sunday, and odds of 1/1 for Crystal Palace Draw No Bet look to be really good value.
