Watford vs Huddersfield Predictions
- Four of Watford’s last six home games have seen both teams net
- Huddersfield have kept just one clean sheet in their last 13 away fixtures
- Both teams have netted in half of the Terriers’ last 16 outings
Watford still in the mix?
It’s been a bizarre season for Watford, who are on to their third manager but are still in the play-off frame, despite losing 2-0 to Luton last time out.
That result means the Hornets have only kept two clean sheets in their last dozen fixtures, while four of their last six outings at Vicarage Road have seen both teams net.
Chris Wilder’s side are usually good for a goal though, doing so in all bar one of their last seven home games, with the anomaly being a 0-0 draw against Preston.
Huddersfield finding form
Watford should be confident of continuing that goalscoring form against Huddersfield, who have only kept one clean sheet in their last 13 away fixtures.
The Terriers are certainly beginning to find form though, with new boss Neil Warnock having a real impact as they came from behind to beat promotion chasing Middlesbrough 4-2 last week.
They are now chasing a third successive win for the first time in nearly 12 months and have scored in three successive games for the first time since January, with both teams netting in two of those matches.
I predict that both teams will also score in this fixture, with a 1-1 draw my correct score prediction.
