Watford vs Norwich Predictions
Watford began their return to the Premier League with a bit of a mental block, despite their opening day draw with Everton. They failed to score in three of their first four league games, but their win over Swansea got them over this stumbling block.
They have since scored in eight of their ten Premier League games, with only the defences of Crystal Palace and Arsenal keeping them out.
This has led to some impressive results, such as their victories over Stoke and West Ham, along with some narrow defeats to Leicester and Manchester United.
Overall, they have won three of their last five games and lost the other two, leaving them in 11th position with 19 points from their opening 14 games.
Norwich have done things the opposite way to their opponents, starting the season brightly before dropping off the boil. Their poor run has seen them drop down to 16th in the table, just three points clear of the relegation zone.
They have only managed to win one of their last nine matches in all competitions, with six of these games ending in defeat for the struggling relegation candidates.
But it’s been their defence that has let them down. No team in the bottom half of the table have scored more goals than them, but they have conceded 25 goals in their 14 games so far.
In fact, Norwich have scored in ten of their last 12 outings, with both sides hitting the back of the net on eight occasions.
With both teams looking leaky at the back and scoring regularly, I’m expecting both sides to find the net in this one. Odds of 4/5 for Both Teams to Score look attractive as well, so that’s what I’m backing. I think Watford can get the win as well, so I’m going for a 2-1 correct score prediction at 17/2 as well.
